Children travelling with fully vaccinated adults on a package trip will not have to self-isolate upon their arrival in the country.
The Tunisian National Tourist Office (TNTO) clarified the rules for under-18s in a statement issued late on Friday (19 November).
"We officially confirm that children under 18 years old are exempt from self-isolating when travelling with vaccinated adults on packaged holiday trip to Tunisia," said the TNTO.
"This is not applicable for children under 18 years of age travelling with unvaccinated adults or on flight-only (not within packaged tour holiday)."
The TNTO added tourists visiting the country must abide by the country’s Covid health protocol at all times, including when at their hotels.
The Foreign Office, though, is yet to update its advice to reflect the change.
Last month, Tunisia lifted its pre-travel negative PCR test requirement for fully vaccinated adults travelling to the country, only to reimpose the measure just 11 days later.
