Tunisia has scrapped all its remaining Covid-19 travel restrictions, meaning proof of Covid status through vaccination or a negative test for Covid-19 will no longer be required.
The news was confirmed to TTG on Friday (2 December) by the Tunisian National Tourist Office after the rules were relaxed by Tunisia’s Ministry of Public Health on Thursday (1 December) with immediate effect.
The changes apply to all passengers arriving into Tunisia, regardless of destination.
Some Covid measures will, however, remain in place, such as a requirement to wear a face mask when showing symptoms of infection, and for enclosed public spaces to be adequately ventilated.
In addition, Tunisia will continue with its vaccination campaign for the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases.
The ministry also declined to rule out updating these protocols, or reintroducing certain measures, in light of how the epidemiological situation develops.
