United Airlines to join Pride in London parade

Staff will participate in this year’s London Pride march on 2 July on the airline’s float.

The airline’s business resource group, Equal, has previously honoured veteran campaigner Peter Tatchell with an award at Heathrow in recognition of work undertaken over decades to campaign for equal rights for LGBTQ+ communities and others.  

The carrier also has a 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.

Ziv Russell, United’s regional chair of Equal, said: “At United Airlines, we have a diverse group of employees around the world and believe in equality for everyone.

“We are all proud to be supporting Pride in London this year and I know that all of our employees taking part will have an exciting day as together, we fly our United flag with pride.”
