Joining the programme this year is a brand new ‘Musicals up close’ cruise, which will welcome Marion Wilmer onboard a total of six departures split across the Rhine/Moselle and Danube. After studying singing in Vienna, Marion went on to star in musical classics such as ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Evita’ and ‘Cats’. She will serenade guests onboard, whisking them away to the magical world of musical theatre as they sail. Various dates and itineraries are available including five, seven, nine and 14 night options.  Prices start from £1,749pp for a five-night cruise with flights, onboard A-ROSA SILVA departing 17 August on the Moselle.

Whilst themed cruises were previously only available as five-night itineraries and during shoulder season months of March and November, the programme has been expanded for this year to include a wider range of departures dates, including key summer sailings. Furthermore, there is more choice available with a selection of seven, nine and 14 night options on various themes, for customers looking for a longer duration holiday.

For example, those who want to spend a little longer in their dancing shoes can now enjoy an extended seven-night ‘Rhythms of the Rhine’ dance themed cruise in April, which is priced from £2,149pp including flights. Yoga lovers and those wanting to find their inner calm now have the option of an unforgettable 14-night ‘Retreat on the River’ yoga and nutrition themed cruise. This journey down the Danube from Austria to the Iron Gates is priced from £4,049pp, departing in June and including flights.

Lucia Rowe, managing director of A-ROSA River Cruises UK & Ireland comments: “I am sure our new musical themed cruise will really appeal to our UK customers, the songs are timeless and Marion’s voice gives you goosebumps! Extending the number of departures to include peak dates during the season, on a host of different itinerary lengths provides agents with more options to sell to customers with special interests.”
