To mark international coffee day (October 1), Celestyal has announced the expansion of its specialist onboard coffee bar ‘Café Nation’.
The venue, currently available on the 1266-guest Celestyal Discovery, will now be offered on the 1260-guest Celestyal Journey in readiness for her inaugural Arabian Gulf Season, starting late November this year.
Operated in partnership with renowned coffee brand illy, Café Nation offers more than 90 specialist drinks alongside the option for guests to personalise their orders. The menu includes a selection of barista poured hot coffees, herbal infused teas, creamy hot chocolates and frappuchinos, iced coffees and teas, as well as cold brewed coffee. Guests can also choose from seven different varieties of coffee including five single origins, blended premium or decaf.
Founded in 1933, illy is one of the most recognisable coffee brands in the world. Its unique blend originates from nine of the best 100% Arabica varieties, sourced from the top 1% of Arabica varieties cultivated worldwide.
Lee Haslett, chief commercial officer at Celestyal, said: “We’re delighted to expand our partnership with the world-renowned brand illy. Café Nation has had fantastic feedback from our guests onboard Celestyal Discovery, and with over 85,000 coffees served on Celestyal Journey alone in the last year, we are confident that this popular meeting spot will be warmly received onboard. After all coffee is an international daily ritual!”
