Classic Collection finds agents favour M&S

Classic Collection has looked into the spending habits of its agent partners enrolled into its Black Card Reward Scheme.

The data, produced in conjunction with the card provider,  revealed that some of the favourite brands amongst agents were Marks & Spencer, Boots and John Lewis, alongside Argos, Sainsbury’s, New Look and River Island.

The reloadable card allows agents to spend whatever amount of money they have earned from their Classic Collection bookings, from £10 to £1000 per booking, and once the balance is spent, the card is topped up and reused when further Classic Collection bookings are made.

The run up to Christmas, from October to December, was recorded as the busiest time for spend activity, along with the start of the summer in May.

More than 50% of card users were aged between 41 and 60 years, just 8% were between 21 and 30 years, and 2% of recorded users were aged between 71 and 80 years.

Average agent spend was up to £200 per cardholder with 76% of the total amount loaded onto all cards being spent within the first three months of receiving the rewards.

Manisha Blair, Trade Marketing and Engagement Manager, commented ‘We’re convinced that the spending flexibility that this scheme offers to our trade partners makes this the best agent incentive out there.

‘Although our research suggests that agents like to spend with high street brands our Black Card can also be used just like a debit card, so agents could fill up their cars with fuel or save it to offset the cost of their winter fuel bills. And of course it’s never too early to get a head start on your Christmas shopping.’

Ten lucky agents recently received cash injections into their Black Cards totalling £5000 between them in the operator’s recent Summer of Love campaign.
