Archipelago in northeastern Brazil was voted the best island in Central and South America in the ‘Readers’ Choice Awards 2024’
Fernando de Noronha was voted the best island in Central and South America in the ‘Readers’ Choice Awards 2024’, organised by Condé Nast Traveller. The stunning archipelago, located in northeastern Brazil, won the prestigious prize in the category Best Islands in the World, while the Maldives was the winner in Africa and the Indian Ocean, and Fiji was crowned the champion in Australasia and the South Pacific.
Offering an unparalleled experience for tourists seeking natural beauty and tranquility, Fernando de Noronha is a true paradise with crystal-clear waters and rich marine life, ideal for unforgettable diving and encounters with dolphins and turtles. Baía do Sancho is one of the island’s most popular beaches, being voted the best beach in the world by travellers on TripAdvisor for the sixth time in 2023.
In the awards where Condé Nast Traveller's readers had their say, Brazil also won another prize: Fasano, in Rio de Janeiro, was voted the best hotel in South America.
Other categories in the ‘Readers’ Choice Awards 2024' included Best Resorts in the World, Best Cities in the UK, with London being crowned as the winner, and the Best Destinations Spas in the World.
