Landal GreenParks UK, the UK’s fastest growing holiday resort company, has seen a very strong start to 2024, as bookings from overseas holidaymakers grew by 100% in Q1.
The self-catering holiday specialist has seen bookings taken in first three months of the year grow by 10% overall, compared to 2023, with an especially strong performance in guests from Northern Europe, who account for nearly 20% of all summer bookings in 2024.
“2024 has started very well for the business, and we are probably bucking some of the trends in the wider marketplace, with a really strong level of off-peak bookings in Q1,” said Paul Hardingham, Managing Director of Landal GreenParks UK. “Where we are particularly pleased is that we have begun to create strong traction with our European customers, who are looking to replicate the Landal experience they have in mainland Europe at our UK destinations.”
“The domestic holiday park scene hasn’t traditionally translated that well with audiences from outside the UK, but the advantage of having a well known and loved brand already established in Europe gives customers peace of mind when they are booking in the UK.
“While the domestic marketplace is still the mainstay of our business, the ability to tap into a different audience is one of the reasons we are continuing to see strong growth for 2024.”
The strong performance looks set to continue with bookings for May Bank Holidays and peak summer periods up compared to 2023.
