Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah, the region’s newest ultra-all-inclusive resort, has opened the new Orient Restaurant to add to its dining offerings. Drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of the Silk Road, Orient offers traditional Turkish cuisine with a modern and sophisticated twist. Making this the first of its kind dining establishment in Ras Al Khaimah, the restaurant will present guests with an elevated experience that celebrates timeless flavours in a contemporary setting.

Aiming to be the ultimate Turkish fine dining destination, Orient merges time-honoured traditions with innovative flavours, allowing guests to relive the glory of the past while embarking on a new flavour experience.

The menu, paired with expertly crafted dishes, takes guests on a journey through Turkey’s cultural heritage, guided by the essence of aromatic spices, the fragrance of freshly baked bread, and the flavours that reflect centuries of tradition. Guests can begin their dining journey with signature appetizers such as Levrek – cured seabass with coriander salsa – or Topik, a blend of smashed chickpeas, slow-cooked onion, roasted pine nuts, and citrus tahini dressing.

For the main course, indulge in Ali Nazik, decadent smoky lamb skewers served with garlic yogurt and smoked eggplant, or Kiyma, featuring adana kebab on lavash bread with herbed onion. For a comforting option, Kavurmali Pide offers braised beef with Göreme cheese, while the Peynirli Pide, crafted with traditional Turkish cheese and fresh herbs, provides a lighter alternative. To finish, the indulgent pistachio Baklava provides a mouthwatering, sweet finale to a perfect meal. Live performances of traditional Turkish instruments, such as the qanun and clarinet, make each visit unforgettable.

Every detail at Orient, from the intricate décor to the vibrant entertainment, has been crafted to immerse guests in the mystique of the Orient. The restaurant’s design showcases deep blues, vibrant reds, and striking gold accents, with gilded embellishments and embroidered details that beautifully reflect the culture. The warm, moody ambiance is enhanced by low-hanging lighting, while the rich scents of oriental spices like musk and sandalwood change with the seasons. Soft Turkish instrumental music fills the space, adding to the atmosphere.
