INNSiDE Calviá Beach will host a line-up of creatives, including British author, Dolly Alderton, as part of FLEM 2024.
From 3rd October to 6th October, the transgressive festival invites locals and travellers alike to experience culture in all its forms and is part of Meliá Hotels International’s wider mission to redefine the perception of Magaluf. 2024 marks the festival’s fourth year, and through the past three editions, INNSiDE by Meliá has ensured FLEM is now positioned as a leading event on the island, with a diverse itinerary of concerts, panel discussions and artistic workshops.
Taking place in Mallorca’s shoulder season, as the destination of Magaluf starts to wind down, Meliá Hotels International encourages guests to experience an alternative side of the seaside town through FLEM. A collaboration between INNSiDE by Meliá and Rata Corner, Palma’s most innovative cultural hub, the festival provides a stage for an array of artists, and this year’s line-up includes esteemed British author, journalist, and podcaster, Dolly Alderton; and Sheena Patel, British writer and assistant director, alongside some of Spain’s most celebrated creatives.
Meliá Hotels International has invested more than 250 million euros to refurbish all of its hotels in the area as part of its mission to create a more authentic destination and alleviate the remaining challenges faced by attracting a new type of traveller. Last year, the island welcomed the first hotel from ZEL, a new hospitality brand from Meliá and Rafa Nadal. Set in Palmanova, ZEL embodies the Mediterranean lifestyle and joins the other 4- and 5-star hotels, which now make up almost 70% of the hotels in the area. Whilst FLEM takes place at INNSiDE Calviá Beach, Meliá has also recently refurbished Meliá Calvia Beach and Meliá South Beach, located at the western end of the coastline. These resorts provide a luxury experience for those looking to visit Magaluf, with direct beach access and top-quality facilities.
