Wyndham Grand Barbados has announced a new leadership appointment with Barbadian Reuben Leroy Browne joining the resort’s team as general manager.
Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord’s Castle All-Inclusive Resort & Spa has announced a new leadership appointment with Barbadian Reuben Leroy Browne joining the resort’s senior management team as general manager.
Browne will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of operations at the resort, from ensuring that guests continue to receive the highest-quality service to developing strategies to hit revenue growth targets.
He brings a great breadth of experience to the role having worked in the hospitality sector for more than 30 years, after graduating with a degree in Hospitality Administration and Management from Cornell University.
Joining from Royalton Antigua, Browne has held the position of general manager for almost 25 years, having also worked at Bahamas’ British Colonial Hilton Nassau, Sea Breeze Beach House in Barbados and Hilton Trinidad and Conference Center in Trinidad and Tobago.
Browne said: “To be returning to Barbados to take on such a pivotal leadership role at Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord’s Castle All-Inclusive Resort & Spa brings me great excitement. I look forward to embarking on this new challenge with the support of the amazing resort team and, more widely, Wyndham Grand Hotels & Resorts.”
On the appointment, vice president of operations and support LATAMC at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Christian Bocam, added: “Leroy’s wealth of experience in the Caribbean tourism industry, including over a decade in the position of General Manager, made him the perfect candidate for this role. I look forward to working closely with him to elevate operations across the resort and am delighted to welcome him into the Wyndham family.”
