See moment first A380 touches down in the Maldives

This is the moment the first Airbus A380 aircraft touched down in the Maldives this week.

The new runway at Velana International airport in Male is the country’s first capable of hosting the almost 500-capacity superjumbo.
The Etihad Airways flight, piloted by Maldivian first officer Ali Ahuson, landed safely on Tuesday (September 18).
Some 3,400 metres long and 60 metres wide, the $400 million runway was designed and built with the A380 in mind.
