Royal Caribbean Group has entered an agreement with French shipbuilder Chantiers de l’Atlantique to construct a seventh Oasis-class vessel.
Group president Jason Liberty said the ship, due to launch in 2028, will be the “next installation” in Royal Caribbean International’s “extremely popular” Oasis class.
“Across our three brands, we are focused on continuously challenging ourselves to deliver the ultimate vacation experience,” he added.
Michael Bayley, Royal Caribbean International president, hailed the “remarkable” Oasis-class ships and the “incredible” partnership with Chantiers de l’Atlantique.
The line’s neighbourhood concept and entertainment across air, ice, water and stage were first unveiled on Oasis of the Seas in 2009.
Royal said: “The next in the line-up will continue that legacy with the latest combination of bold revolutionary, evolutionary and signature experiences.”
The order is dependent on financing, which is expected to be completed later in 2024.
Utopia of the Seas – Royal’s sixth Oasis-class ship – is due to launch in July 2024.
