Tui River Cruises’ incoming ship on the Nile will feature five new venues including a multi-functioning space and a main restaurant, which can sit 140 passengers.
Tui Al Horeya, due to launch in November, will have 74 cabins to accommodate 145 passengers per sailing.
The new onboard venues are The Top Deck, al fresco dining space Felucca, the Lazeeza main restaurant, The Observatory and The Wellness Area.
The Top Deck will feature the line’s first swimming pool and two hot tubs in the day and afternoon tea will be served there.
At night, the Top Deck will transform in an al fresco dining space called Felucca.
The main restaurant, Lazeeza, will sit 141 passengers for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The waiter-service restaurant will be open to all customers and will offer a buffet mix and live cooking prepared by the ship’s onboard chef.
The Observatory will host nightly traditional entertainment, including Egyptian Whirling Dervishes and local Nubian acts. It will also be where quizzes, music and film showings are held.
Katy Berzins, Head of River Cruises, said: “We’re so excited that Tui River Cruises will be revealing its fully refurbished ship this November.
“We have focused on Al Horeya having quality venues, with flexibility in mind for all our customers.
“We’ve gone from the European waterways of the Rhine, Danube, Main and Moselle and now our first North-African cruise ship down the Nile, which will offer our customers the chance to experience Egypt in a whole new light.”
Tui River Cruises in August launched its first trade incentive, offering agents the chance to win places on a seven-night Legends of the Nile sailing next year.
The winning agents will experience the ship on a round-trip sailing from Luxor in March 2025.
The river line will operate a second vessel – called Tui Bahareya – on the Nile during the 2025/26 winter season.
It confirmed strong demand had prompted the decision to add more capacity on the river.
