The Advantage Travel Partnership is poised to make product from its in-house tour operator bookable by members’ clients who use its white-label websites.
The consortium said 25 its agent members were currently using its white-label websites, with this expected to rise to 40 by the autumn
Its in-house tour operator Advantage Holidays and Cruise now expects to see “a significant increase” in its distribution by making its “fully flexible, dynamically packaged” holidays available to consumers.
These holidays are protected by Advantage’s own Atol. Previously, these packages could only be booked by Advantage agents using the consortium’s trade booking portal.
The expansion comes as a result of Advantage’s partnership with travel tech platform Travelgenix, which started offering Advantage’s agent members six “scalable and affordable website options” last year.
Lee Ainsworth, Advantage’s head of operations, said: “More than 84% of Advantage members regularly book with Advantage Holidays and Cruise, so they are very used to what we offer, and feedback from members has been very positive.
"This increased distribution was a natural step for us and re-affirms our commitment to members to ensure they have access to competitively priced holiday options under the central Advantage Atol licence, reducing the onerous need to hold their licensing arrangements.”
Ainsworth added: “It also demonstrates our continued strategy to deliver technology solutions which futureproof our members’ online presence.”
David Forder, Advantage’s head of marketing, said members who use its bookable website solution “will now benefit from the ability to further utilise the Advantage in-house tour operator to provide a wider range of options to their customers".
