The Advantage Travel Partnership has partnered with rail travel provider International Rail Limited to expand its portfolio of sustainable travel options.
Announced ahead of the consortium’s annual conference at the weekend, the new partnership will allow agents to offer greener travel options to their clients while benefiting from preferred terms on both licence and booking fees.
“We’re enabling our members to have access to products that corporate in particular are asking for and that are more sustainable,” Advantage chief executive Julia Lo Bue-Said told TTG.
Her words were echoed by global business travel director Guy Snelgar who said International Rail is “a great fit for the Advantage membership”.
As part of the partnership, Advantage members will be able to book rail trips online for most of Europe by using International Rail’s in-house technology, 1track.
“For the rest of the world and parts of Europe that are not currently live online, they book via a simple online request in 1track with a guaranteed turnaround time from Rail Experts in our call centres,” added International Rail head of new business development Caitlin Cornish.
Advantage agents will also have 24/7 access to the company’s customer service team.
