AE Expeditions christens new ship Sylvia Earle in Antarctica

Will PayneAE Expeditions has officially christened its newest purpose-built small ship, Sylvia Earle.
Namesake and godmother Dr Sylvia Earle carried out the ceremony in Antarctica before leading an Antarctic climate expedition sailing to raise public and government awareness of the environmental importance of the region.
Aurora Expeditions chief executive Michael Heath said: "We are privileged to have Dr Earle as the namesake of our stunning second purpose-built expedition ship.
"I thank Sylvia for joining us to officially christen the ship and be onboard for the inaugural Antarctic Climate Expedition."
