Agent wins new car as part of Hays Travel competition
Will PayneA Northern Ireland-based travel agent has won a new car as part of the final instalment of The Big Hays Travel Thank You 2022.
The sixth and final winner of the competition is Andrea McBurney from Hays Travel Abbey Centre in Belfast.
The prize was presented to McBurney by Hays Travel chair Dame Irene Hays outside the agency’s head office in Sunderland on Thursday (22 December).
McBurney said: "I am completely delighted. I can’t believe I have actually won a brand-new car. It is so exciting to be able to drive it home today."
Hays began The Big Hays Travel Thank You in July to recognise and reward staff over the course of six months with a range of prizes.
Since July, Hays Travel has given away two new cars, a cruise, a trip to New York and an Apple Bundle. In October, in the wake of the cost of living crisis, it was announced that two winners would have their household bills paid by Hays Travel until March 2023.
Dame Irene said: "We have had so much fun over the last six months with this initiative. The aim was to recognise and reward our colleagues while bringing a sense of excitement and fun.
"I am delighted to announce that the Big Hays Travel Thank You will be back next summer with another set of amazing prizes."
