The government of Anguilla is set to remove its day four Covid-19 test requirement for overseas arrivals and reduce its testing costs from $200 to $50.
Travellers will also be able to take a pre-departure antigen test instead of a PCR test when the new entry protocol requirements come into effect on Monday (1 November).
All visitors to the British Overseas Territory 18 years and older must be fully vaccinated, with the second dose having been administered at least 21 days before arrival. Pregnant women and children under the age of 18 are exempt.
Travellers must also apply for entry permission, which will include the updated $50 arrival testing fee per person.
A negative Covid-19 antigen or PCR test will still be required, but it must now be taken no less than two to five days prior to arrival.
All guests are tested on arrival and will be required to stay in place at their hotel, licensed villa or other rental accommodations while the test is processed, which usually takes less than 24 hours.
If the test result is negative, there will be no further quarantine requirement. Random day four testing of guests staying on the island for more than eight days will be conducted, but at no additional cost.
