APT has expanded its expedition programme and launched a new 15-night cruise to Antarctica.
The tour operator announced on Wednesday (29 March) the one-date-only voyage will depart on 3 February 2024, featuring calls in Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, the capital of Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego region.
Customers will enjoy three nights in Buenos Aires, followed by a 10-night expedition onboard APT’s privately chartered vessel, Le Boreal.
In Buenos Aires, guests will immerse themselves in the capital’s atmosphere, choosing between a guided tour of the city’s architectural marvels or a tour of legendary opera house Teatro Colon.
Whereas the Antarctic cruise includes expeditions to visit seal and penguin colonies as well as a trip to Deception Island, home to an active volcano, and a tour of the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
“Antarctica is one of the most bucket-list-worthy expedition cruising destinations, and we are thrilled to be offering guests and agent partners a one-off sailing in February 2024,” said head of sales and business development Brad Bennetts. “With just 200 places, we expect the cruise to sell out fast, so the trade should move quickly to secure places for their customers.”
Bookings start at £14,570 per person and include all internal flights, a private charter to Ushuaia, 34 luxury meals and all beverages.
