Beaches Resorts will hold its first-ever autism all-inclusive week in October, offering breaks tailored for families with children on the autism spectrum.
Beaches Ocho Rios in Jamaica will host the event over 9–13 October, offering a range of inclusive activities families can opt into on their own time and at their own pace.
Families will be assigned a dedicated Beaches buddy to help them make the most of the programme.
Activities include daily arts and crafts with Sesame Street’s Julia, sunrise yoga, table-side chats with experts, scavenger hunts and a parents’ mixer event with respite care, as well as water-based activities.
Families will also be able to liaise with the resort’s culinary concierge to pre-plan meals according to dietary preferences and allergy requirements.
Agents can book relevant family clients to Beaches Ocho Rios over 9–13 October through Sandals and Beaches Resorts UK tour operator, Unique Caribbean Holidays Ltd, and then pre-register them for the autism all-inclusive week.
A seven-night stay for a family of four in a Caribbean deluxe family-sized room leads in from £1,989 per adult and £875 per child under the age of 12. Prices include accommodation, return economy flights with Virgin Atlantic, resort transfers and activities. Ten- and 14-night durations are also available.
Beaches has also recently upgraded its autism programme with new sensory guides, developed by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, which are designed to help caregivers and guests with cognitive disabilities navigate resorts comfortably, based on specific sensory sensitivities.
