Blue Bay Travel has appointed Vikki Griffin as assistant manager for its Personal Travel Consultants homeworking division.
Griffin will transfer internally from the company’s operations team having originally joined Blue Bay four years ago as a personal travel advisor following a career as a bank manager.
She has been responsible for business, sales and event management at Blue Bay, which the company said would “significantly benefit” its PTC team as it scales up.
Her work will include responsibilities for recruitment and training and onboard new homeworkers alongside PTC sales manager Abbie Heaton, who said Griffin “truly understands what it’s like to be a frontline agent within our business”.
“I feel so assured knowing that Vikki has already built a rapport with her future team having worked with them day to day in her previous role. Vikki is a consummate, hardworking professional with outstanding structured procedural management skills and an easy manner which, combined with her outstanding experience, made her the perfect choice for this role,” added Heaton.
Griffin said: “I hope to make a real contribution to the continued success for our homeworking division and already have ideas flowing about initiatives I want to implement to really benefit the team and support our agents.”
