TTG has launched a “Holiday To Help Out” initiative to kick-start the industry and drive consumers through the doors of travel agents.
The scheme will take place between 2-8 November, with suppliers offering discounts and special offers on holidays available only through travel agents, as highlighted on the dedicated website holidaytohelpout.com.
All agents are able to participate in the scheme - just download the specially created assets to use on your social media sites or use the window posters to tell customers you’re taking part in the initiative.
Twelve suppliers have so far signed up to be part of Holiday To Help Out, with many more set to be added over the coming fortnight.
Suppliers so far confirmed include:
The holidaytohelpout.com website is designed for both consumers and trade, and includes links (where possible) enabling customers to find some of their local travel agents. The offers are available through all travel agents.
Downloadable window posters as well as social media assets are also available for agents and suppliers to download.
Sophie Griffiths, editor of TTG, said: “This industry has consistently been let down by the powers that be in Westminster so we decided to take matters into our own hands to shine some positivity on travel and try and kick-start the market by driving customers through agents’ doors.
“Inspired by the chancellor’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme, we hope the Holiday To Help Out initiative will create similar excitement about travel and prompt customers to go and talk to their local travel agent about booking the holiday of their dreams.”
Details of the offers provided by suppliers will be added to the website over the next week.
