Celebrity Cruises has bolstered its trade sales team and is set to launch its first printed brochure since 2018 next month following agent feedback.
Among a string of appointments is the internal promotion of Mandy Burrie to strategic account manager and the return of Ros Nigrelli from maternity leave as trade support manager.
Joining Celebrity from Club Med is Matthew Stuart who becomes business development manager, tasked with looking after the line’s luxury travel partners, while former Hays Travel regional manager Charlotte Hallam will take up her new role as Celebrity’s field sales manager.
Victoria Snelgar joins the line as sales planning and activation manager and Jessica Trickett has taken up her new position as regional sales manager for the northwest and east.
Celebrity is also offering agents a raft of new tools and offers to support sales during a “mini wave” campaign.
The line is reintroducing Celebrity Reward points on every booking with agents able to earn £5 when selling an Inside or Oceanview stateroom, £10 for Balcony, Concierge or Aqua Class and £20 when booking The Retreat or Galapagos.
Reward points can be redeemed against reloadable Mastercards, onboard gifts for clients and donations to charities such as Reuben’s Retreat.
Meanwhile, following feedback from Celebrity’s travel agent advisory panel, the line will reintroduce printed brochures for the first time in four years next month – featuring brand and product information, alongside upcoming 2023/24 holiday offerings.
The line’s trade platform Celebrity Central will also be “refreshed” later this month with updated content, improved search functionality and simplified pricing systems.
The launch of new trade resources will coincide will Celebrity’s latest sales campaign offering customer a 60% discount on second guests and up to $200pp onboard credit on all bookings made before 21 September.
For families, the 60% saving will also apply to the fourth guest, when booking a room for four people.
Claire Stirrup, UK and Ireland sales director, said: "Our travel partners are critical to the success of our business, so we’re pledging to bolster our support with a multi-faceted strategy in recognition of all they do for us.
"The Travel Agent Panel sessions this summer gave us the opportunity to really listen to how we can best support agents, and we’re looking forward to visiting agents in Scotland later this year to learn more."
