Center Parcs has reportedly been put up for sale with a £4 billion to £5 billion price tag.
Canadian private equity firm Brookfield acquired the brand’s UK operation in 2014 for around £2.4 billion from Blackstone Group.
However, according to the Financial Times, Brookfield has appointed advisors to sound out potential suitors.
Center Parcs currently operates five holiday villages in the UK and another in Ireland, attracting in excess of two million visitors a year.
Plans for a sixth UK site near Gatwick airport were scrapped in February following environmental and ecological surveys.
Brookfield and Center Parcs UK declined to comment when approached by the Financial Times.
Center Parcs UK is a separate operation to Center Parcs Europe, which is still owned by Blackstone.
