Industry car challenge, the Travel Trade Crusade, is set to ride again in 2024 after a four-year hiatus – with organisers aiming to reach a £200,000 charity fundraising target.
The event, co-founded and run by Beachcomber Tours sales director Sarah Archer, sees teams from across the industry taking part in a three-day drive through Europe, along the way competing in a series of tasks and activities to win cash for good causes.
Next year’s edition, which features Not Just Travel and Holiday Extras as headline sponsors, will begin in the French city of Reims on 5 July - with places still available for new teams to enter.
Teams already set for the start line include Sunvil, Travel Stop, Baldwins Travel, Bright, Travel Counsellors and Ambassador Cruise Line.

Last held in July 2019, the Travel Trade Crusade has so far raised around £165,000 across the previous four rallies, with organisers hoping to take the figure “well over” £200,000 next year.
Organisers also say they are mindful of the need to travel responsibly during the event and plan to carbon offset each vehicle taking part.
Archer and fellow co-founder Nick Joyce, said: “The event has been highly anticipated by our past participants. Even amidst the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the demand for us to stage it again has remained consistently high.
“We recognise that the pandemic affected not only the travel community but also charitable organisations, which have faced huge difficulties with fundraising during the past few years. We hope that TTC 24 will attract a new generation of big-hearted travel professionals to join the best and most fun charity event in the UK travel industry.”
