Emirates to up Newcastle frequency in time for Christmas

Two extra flights a week will be added, together with an earlier lunchtime departure to allow passengers to connect to onward destinations including Thailand, Australia, Malaysia and the Indian Ocean.

Flights are operated with a Boeing 777 offering business and economy class.

Nick Jones, Newcastle airport chief executive, said: “Emirates’ Dubai service has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months.

"We are all pleased that demand for the iconic eastbound service has continued to grow resulting in the return of their pre-pandemic daily schedule, departing at lunchtime.”
