TTG’s Fairer Travel Week is expanding to become Fairer Travel Month this summer as we continue our mission to champion a more inclusive and sustainable industry.
July will feature a packed agenda aimed at driving up standards and helping the industry to become kinder – and fairer – to both the environment and the people working within it.
Events include TTG’s online Fairer Travel Festival (1-5 July) connecting agents with suppliers leading the way in responsible tourism, while the Fairer Travel Diversity Forum (8 July) and Fairer Travel Sustainability Forum (11 July) will both offer days packed with practical advice and inspiring experts to help drive positive change within your businesses.
Speakers for the Sustainability Forum include Susanne Etti, Intrepid Travel’s global environmental impact manager; Miles Lockwood, director of complaints and investigations at the Advertising Standards Authority; and Jennifer McGarrigle, co-founder and CEO at sustainability consulting specialists Cyd Connects.
Speakers for the Diversity Forum include Onyinye Udokporo, neurodiversity consultant, author and educator; Sassy Wyatt, Blind Girl Adventures content creator and accessibility consultant; and Anna Perrott, co-founder of industry parent support group Back In Time For Bed and director of partnerships at Panache Cruises.
Travel Pride™, TTG’s unique celebration of inclusivity in the industry, returns on 16 July when a new raft of Travel Pride Champions are set to be announced.
The celebrations will be preceded with the TTG LGBT+ Showcase helping agents bust myths and misconceptions and offering key tips and advice on how to sell and market to this important sector.
Tickets for the individual forums are priced at £49pp, with a ticket to attend both available for £89. The Fairer Travel Festival, TTG LGBT+ Showcase and Travel Pride are all free to attend.
During July, TTG will also be championing the next generation of travel talent as we reveal our new 30 Under 30 cohort for 2024, while judging for The Travel Industry Awards 2024 by TTG – which has a strong focus on how businesses are working to promote Smarter, Better and Fairer travel – is also taking place.
