The Advantage Travel Partnership will host its first overseas conference in three years in Madeira, in what it says will be "one of the first major overseas travel industry events" to take place since the start of the pandemic.
More than 250 delegates have already registered for the three-night conference, due to take place at the Savoy Palace Hotel from 29 April to 2 May.
A combination of plenary sessions, workshops and speed dating with suppliers will take place over the course of the event with presentations from the group’s leadership team and a number of keynote speakers.
Business sessions will cover topics such as sustainability, wellbeing and diversity and inclusion.
Advantage chief Julia Lo Bue-Said said the industry has "demonstrated amazing resilience" after two years of Covid-19 induced "turmoil".
"We are now asking our members and supplier partners to reject that Zoom call, close their laptops and join us live and in person for The Advantage Conference 2022," she added.
"This year’s event promises to be a truly memorable event for many reasons. Not least because it will have been three years since our last overseas conference and therefore a great opportunity for us to reflect and move forward, to reconnect and inspire."
Meanwhile, Kelly Cookes, leisure director for Advantage, said the group has had a "really positive response" from both its leisure and global business travel members.
"Members are telling us that they are really looking forward to having the opportunity to catch up with fellow members and industry partners after the torrid events of the last few years.
"We spend a great deal of time planning for our conferences, making sure the-end-to-end experience for our members is a completely enriching and rewarding experience for them, and this year is no exception."
