Former Emerald brand lead Darren Birch joins APT and Travelmarvel
Ilaria Grasso MacolaAPT and Travelmarvel has appointed Emerald Cruises’ former global brand lead Darren Birch as its new marketing and client relationship manager.
His appointment comes as the cruise and touring specialist continues on its strategic recruitment campaign, which has seen UK staff levels grow by 30% in the past few months.
Birch has held a variety of roles in the travel sector over the past 24 years, including sales manager at Virgin Holidays, as well as customer marketing manager at Travel Counsellors.
Reporting to head of marketing Katie Elson, he will oversee the group’s marketing and CRM strategies, making sure partners make the most from APT & Travelmarvel’s campaigns, incentives and training.
In his role, Birch will also help agents improve customer targeting and retention with marketing and training materials, while also offering fam trips, incentives and offers.
