Jet2holidays has added Formentera in Spain’s Balearic Islands to its summer 2024 programme, with flights available from 11 UK airports.
Holidays will operate from 16 May through to 5 October, and the operator’s expansion sees Jet2holidays offering more than 550 beach and city resorts across 60 destinations next summer.
The most southerly Balearic island, Jet2 customers will fly into Ibiza, 12 miles south, and be transferred via a ferry service that operates every 30 minutes, with coach transfers provided upon arrival in Formentera.
Customers can fly from Belfast International, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said the company was “incredibly excited” to introduce Formentera, which he described as an “one of the most idyllic destinations in the Balearics”.
“As well as experiencing strong demand for last-minute summer 2023 getaways, we are also seeing customers wanting to book ahead for next summer, and the Balearics are proving popular,” said Heapy.
“This expansion further strengthens our biggest ever summer programme as we continue to offer customers and independent travel agents unrivalled choice and flexibility, thanks to the launch of Formentera. We know that it will be a popular destination as customers look to escape the UK and enjoy some much-needed summer sun.”
