Royal Caribbean has announced plans to visit more than 1,000 agents across the UK and Ireland as part of its biggest trade training programme in recent years.
The schedule of training sessions, events and webinars will take place during the second half of the year, further supporting the line’s newly launched digital sales tool, My Royal Genie, which allows agents to make and share their own custom digital brochures with customers.
Led by Royal Caribbean’s recently appointed training manager, Kristi Reeser, the tour includes immersion sessions and interactive learning opportunities designed with those new to the cruise industry in mind, as well as advanced sales training for more experienced agents.
Ahead of the arrival of the cruise line’s Icon of the Seas and Utopia of the Seas, sessions will give agents a deeper understanding of the company and current offers, enabling them to more effectively sell the brand.
As well as the in-person events, Royal will offer monthly, interactive webinars featuring expert speakers from within the industry, updates on the latest developments from Royal Caribbean and training and Q&A support.
Hosted ship visits, designed to provide first-hand experiences for those new to cruise, or the brand, will also be available.
Torey Kings-Hodkin, UK and Ireland head of sales for Royal Caribbean, said: "We invest heavily in our amazing travel agent partners to ensure everyone across the board can access the training they need in order to immerse themselves in the Royal Caribbean brand.
"We have a particular focus on building knowledge amongst the huge number of new starters within the travel sector, as it’s essential they have first-hand experience of what a Royal Caribbean cruise has to offer in order for them to bring that to life for guests looking to book an amazing holiday."
