Intrepid Travel will once again spearhead the industry’s National Travel Agent Day celebrations, and wants other suppliers – and the rest of the sector – to get behind the effort to recognise the trade’s endeavours.
The event, first held in July 2020 at the height of the pandemic, will this year be held on Friday 22 July and will once again champion the importance of travel agents both to consumers and the wider industry.
To mark the occasion, the Intrepid team is planning a week-long series of events and activities, including agent and consumer discounts and offers, giveaways, competitions, surprise treats and events.
Zina Bencheikh, Intrepid managing director EMEA, said: “As the industry gets back on its feet, agents are still facing challenging times with everything from airline disruption to the squeeze on the cost of living.
“We see NTAD as a chance for the industry to come together, show our support for the important role agents play, and to have some fun.”
Bencheikh added she wanted the week to increase business for local travel agents, and to see suppliers providing discounts, support and incentives to encourage this.
