Jet2 expands 2024 programme to meet demand for late summer sun
Harry KembleJet2.com and Jet2holidays have expanded its summer 2024 programmes to 24 destinations, including mainland Spain, the Canaries, the Balearics, Portugal, Turkey, Greece and Croatia, from eight UK airports.
Almost 70,000 extra seats have been added to the airline’s programme to meet demand for late summer sun. The new flights have been added between late September and early November next year.
The extra capacity is available from Belfast International, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle International Airports.
Additional services have been added to Ibiza, Tenerife, Reus and Lanzarote from Belfast International Airport.
Birmingham Airport has extra capacity to Palma, Menorca, Kalamata, Dubrovnik, Ibiza, Crete, Antalya and Rhodes.
Manchester Airport has extra flights to destinations, including Halkidiki, Costa de Almeria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Ibiza, Kalamata, Reus, Zante and Gran Canaria.
There are additional services from Newcastle Airport to destinations, including Ibiza, Reus, Palma, Zante, Menorca and Fuerteventura.
Extra flights from Glasgow Airport to Menorca, Palma, Reus, Tenerife, Izmir, Alicante, Bodrum, Dalaman, Crete, Ibiza, Rhodes, Zante, Malaga and Faro have been added.
Edinburgh has more services to Corfu, Dubrovnik, Dalaman, Kos, Palma, Rhodes, Malaga, Faro, Alicante and Bodrum.
Leeds Bradford has extra flights to five destinations, including Ibiza, Zante, Tenerife and Girona.
East Midlands has additional services to Reus, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Zante, Menorca, Palma and Tenerife.
Steve Heapy, Jet2 and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: “We are seeing strong and sustained demand for summer 2024 across the board, with the late summer season proving very popular.
“As the UK’s largest tour operator, we have reacted quickly to that demand by adding extra capacity from September through to November.”
