Jet2holidays to hold 2022 agent conference in Portugal
James ChappleJet2holidays has revealed its 2022 VIP conference – which the operator says will be its largest ever – will be held in November on Portugal’s Algarve coast.
The conference, Jet2’s eighth, will be the first to be held in Portugal, and will see 350 delegates and top-performing agents descend on the 3HB Guarana in Olhos de Agua.
Steve Heapy, Jet2holidays chief executive, and Alan Cross, head of trade, made the announcement at an event in London on Wednesday afternoon (13 July).
The conference programme will be tailored for independent agents, based on eight years’ conference experience, and will be designed to help them grow their business with Jet2.
"This year, the focus is on having the courage to grasp every opportunity, with a major emphasis on looking ahead with positivity as international travel continues to bounce back strongly," said the airline and operator.
Heapy and Cross said the event over 21-24 November would be the company’s "biggest ever conference" for independent agents, reiterating its commitment to its Partners2Success strategy and to putting agents "at the heart" of everything Jet2 does.
"The conference is focused on giving independent travel agency partners the added impetus, knowledge and skills to attract more customers and sell more package holidays to drive business growth," they added.
Delegates will learn more about Jet2’s vision from senior figures, including Heapy, and will take part in a range of sessions hosted by the Jet2 team. There will also be presentations and supplier showcases, as well as a gala dinner and the return of Jet2’s awards honouring its best-selling and most successful agent partners.
Jet2 will be flying delegates to Faro via charter flights from Manchester and Newcastle airports, two of its 10 UK bases.
