A new approach to dressing for work has been launched by Kuoni for all of its retail staff, who have switched from a uniform to wearing their own style in store.
The "Wear to Work Wardrobe" by the operator has been rolled out to all staff, with guidelines on how to dress to "reflect the Kuoni brand" while also allowing the team to "bring their own personality" to work.
"Our uniquely welcoming store environments are where personality, expertise and expectations come together," said Helen Roberts, sales director.
"This is about updating our brand and trusting our team to dress the part whilst also allowing them to bring their own personality to work."
Jack Pike, personal travel expert in Kuoni Bluewater, said he initially thought the idea of losing his tailored uniform was "horrifying".
"But as time has gone on, I’ve definitely warmed to the idea of a non-uniform work style and it was great to be part of the photo-shoot to see how we all look with a little more guidance on what to wear together," he added. "I’m now really excited about it."
All retail staff will be given an allowance to buy new work wear and have been given styling tips and guidelines on the type of outfits they may choose to wear.
