New Kempinski Group chief Barbara Muckermann, Belmond’s head of environmental and social impact, Carmel McQuaid, and The Conte Club founder Rebecca Fielding have been confirmed as speakers for the annual TTG Luxury Travel Summit.
They join previously announced speaker Dr Antonia Ward, chief futurist at trends experts Stylus, for the half-day conference taking place at the Kimpton Fitzroy in London on the afternoon of 17 October.
Muckermann is the first woman in Kempinski’s 127-year history to lead the brand, which operates 82 hotels across 36 countries – and intends to add another 34 properties and residences to its portfolio in the coming years.
She was appointed in May, having spent 14 years at Silversea Cruises.
Carmel McQuaid, Belmond’s recently appointed head of environmental and social impact, will share ideas and affirmative actions on how the company is accelerating conservation and sustainable measures and how clients can be taken along on the journey in a positive way.
Meanwhile, the founder of luxury boutique agency The Conte Club, and former human rights advocate Rebecca Fielding brings more than a decade of travel industry experience and will speak about the necessity of delving into culture through the narrative of food.
The TTG Luxury Travel Summit, in association with the Spanish Tourist Office, forms part of Day of Luxury, which also features Luxpo, where 15 hand-picked agents will take part in one-to-one meetings with 15 luxury-focused suppliers in the morning.
Early-bird tickets for the event are on sale now, costing £175 (+VAT), and include lunch, the conference and a post-event drinks reception at Kimpton Fitzroy. All Luxpo attendees and sponsors benefit from a complimentary place to attend the TTG Luxury Travel Summit.
