Manchester airport has been forced to temporarily close both of its runways following a period of heavy snowfall.
In a statement published on Twitter, the airport said it is working to restart operations "at the earliest opportunity."
"Following a period of heavy snowfall, we have temporarily closed both runways," it added. "Health and safety will always be our top priority and operations will resume at the earliest opportunity.
"Passengers are advised to contact their airline for the most up-to-date flight information."
It comes just two days after the airport was hit by an IT system outage which impacted a number of its processes.
