Marella Cruises’ first-ever “trade-wide” booking incentive is offering top-selling cruise agents the chance to win a place on a Caribbean sailing next year.
The “Make it on Marella” incentive winners will sail on adult-only ship Marella Explorer 2 from the Tui-owned line’s new homeport at La Romana, Dominican Republic,
Marella Explorer 2 will call into St Maarten, Dominica, Antigua, British Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic during the sailing.
The trip will be hosted by Marella Cruises and Tui staff, who will “immerse” agents in the line’s product offerings.
To enter the competition, agents must log as many Marella Cruises package bookings as possible on a digital form set up by the line before 31 December.
The 20 top-selling agents – plus five “wildcard” places – will join a seven-night Colours of the Caribbean itinerary departing on 11 March 2025.
Chris Hackney, Marella Cruises managing director, said: “It’s important that we give our trusted travel agents a unique trip to immerse themselves in the product whilst also experiencing one of our new Caribbean homeports for 2025 in La Romana, Dominican Republic.”
In recent months, Tui has bolstered its trade sales team to provide more support to independent travel agents selling its products, including Marella Cruises.
It has admitted it has neglected independent agents to Jet2’s gain in the past.
