Homeworking agency The Travel Directors is offering an “induction fam trip” to Mauritius for recruits aiming to “totally shake up” how staff are trained.
The brand, part of luxury travel concierge Aquilium Travel, has teamed up with Beachcomber Tours to take its members to the island in December.
The week-long trip will include visits to Beachcomber properties around the destination as well as a mini conference with sessions on sales technique.
Gary Pridmore, co-managing director of The Travel Directors, which launched last September and currently has 12 homeworkers, said it will offer the optional trip for “a small fee”, which can be recouped via sales incentives later in the year.
The induction will be open to all members who have joined since launch, and forms the second part of their induction, following an initial session in the UK.
“This is not a gimmick – it’s about honing skills and helping to expand product knowledge,” said Pridmore.
The Travel Directors, he added, was “focused on differentiating ourselves” from other homeworking companies through initiatives such as giving new starters a MacBook laptop upon joining.
