Travel Talks Menopause has launched a number of resources for those working in travel who experience menopause.
The material includes a menopause symptom checker, a guide on how to have a conversation with your GP as well as series of posters which people are encouraged to use in their workplace to help support those who might be affected by menopause.
Travel Talks Menopause co-founder Lindsay Garvey-Jones who is also national retail manager at Holiday Extras said: “Since launching in October 2021, Travel Talks Menopause has had such an impact on our industry.
“I’m having and hearing more and more conversations about menopause with all genders at various events and conferences. More women are having the courage to have those conversations which were once considered taboo and are taking charge of their own health and wellbeing when it comes to the options available to treat menopause symptoms.
“At Holiday Extras we have engaged with our employees business wide. We are empowering and educating everyone on the menopause and exploring how we can support those who are going through this unique life event.”
Garvey-Jones added that the menopause “is in our eye-line now more than ever and very much the topic on everyone’s lips”.
She noted that many of the conversations she had had around menopause centred on advice and people having to do their own fact finding on symptoms, “exploring how and who to have that conversation with about our findings and to gain access to proper advice from a health practitioner.
“We’re delighted to provide the following materials which are credited to, and have permission from and to share,” she added.
