Dnata’s new chief executive for UK and Europe has been confirmed for the Big Interview slot at the latest TTG Agenda 2021 seminar.
Ailsa Pollard, who assumes her new role from 1 November, will speak with TTG editor Sophie Griffiths about her vision for the business, development of product, her plans for the company as travel resumes after the pandemic and her thoughts on how the travel sector can work together to embrace a more sustainable future.
The interview ties in with the seminar’s theme of “ a new dawn for travel” in the wake of the government’s easing of travel restrictions and how it has impacted consumer demand for holidays.
In partnership with PwC, TTG Media has produced exclusive research exploring consumer – and trade – attitudes to travel following the recent government announcements. The findings will be presented by David Trunkfield, Hospitality and Leisure Leader, PwC UK, who will examine whether bookings are bouncing back and if half-term could be the saviour many in the industry are hoping for.
A full report of the research will also be made available to attendees following the seminar.
Elsewhere agents including Miles Morgan, managing director, Miles Morgan Travel; Phil Gardner, chief commercial officer, Thomas Cook; and Edwina Lonsdale, managing director, Mundy Cruising, will discuss whether the travel industry is finally back on track, what it will mean for peaks this year and when can we expect to see booking levels return to the heady heights of 2019.
Meanwhile the seminar will also explore the crucial topic of sustainability and regenerative travel, with industry leaders such as Garry Wilson, chief executive, easyJet Holidays; Kasia Morgan, chief sustainability officer, Exodus; Karen Simmonds, founder, Travel Matters; and Nico Nicholas, CEO, Trees4Travel.
