P&O Cruises’ new ship Arvia arrived in its homeport of Southampton on Sunday (18 December) ahead of its maiden voyage to the Canary Islands on Friday (23 December).
At 185,000 tonnes, 345m in length with 16 guest decks, Arvia is the line’s second ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).
P&O Cruises president, Paul Ludlow, said: "It was a truly remarkable moment as, after the years of design and build, Arvia arrived into Southampton ahead of the maiden voyage and then departure for the Caribbean season.
