Riviera Travel is set to shrink the number of people allowed on its European grand tours from next year following customer feedback.
The escorted tour especially has reduced the number of people allowed on its 2025 tours from the current 50 to 36 “to enhance the guest experience even further”.
It comes as Riviera has added a raft of new grand European tours as well as three new solo traveller and one walk and discovery options, which will be on sale from 13 March with a pre-sale opened on Wednesday (6 March).
The grand tour programme ranges from 12 days in northern Croatia to an 11-day tour of Sicily and 10 days in Andalucia, with prices varying from £1,999 to £2,999 per person – depending on the itinerary.
“Our European tours have traditionally been for seven nights, so having longer options on offer will give guests more time to explore a destination at a different pace,” said head of short-haul product Joanne Lynn.
Solo travellers will instead be able to choose from three additional tours, including a four-day tour of Krakow with an optional visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau and an eight-day trip to Istanbul, Ephesus and Troy.
Meanwhile, customers opting for the eight-day walking tour of Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian coast will depart in April 2025, with prices starting from £1,699 per person.
All departures include flights, transfers, accommodation, tours and select meals.
