Virgin Voyages: 'Our awards are all thanks to you!'
SJ Walker, director of sales at Virgin Voyages, highlights some of the line’s recent award wins and explains how the team have celebrated with the trade.
Well, it’s safe to say, we are still on cloud nine after our recent award wins; Virgin Voyages was named Ocean Cruise Line of the Year at the Travel Industry Awards 2023 by TTG, with judges saying: “Last year’s One To Watch became this year’s Ocean Cruise Line of the Year after truly disrupting the industry, bringing the Virgin DNA to the cruise sector and supporting and engaging with the trade closer than any other cruise line in this highly competitive category.”
As if that wasn’t enough, we gained another (big) win, earning the #1 Large Cruise Ship in Conde Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2023. Voters from around the world selected Virgin Voyages based on the overall experience, including our elevated bars and eateries, brilliant service, cabins, activities, immersive Shore Things, epic itineraries and incredible value.
The timing of these awards was perfect, as we celebrated our scoops with over 80 First Mate partners who joined our Raise Your Sales and Thank You Soiree activations onboard Valiant Lady. The events were a huge success... watch this space for news on 2024!
