Tui Group says it expects to carry more than 500,000 guests during the Easter holidays with a 95% load factor “broadly in line with pre-Covid levels”.
The Mediterranean and the Canaries are the company’s top-performing destinations in its UK and German markets, as well as Turkey, the Balearics, mainland Spain, Egypt and Greece.
Tui reported record individual booking days for the UK market earlier in the year and, in the four weeks to 5 February, claimed bookings were around 10% up on 2019 pre-pandemic levels, with prices also higher.
Group chief executive Sebastian Ebel said Tui’s booking momentum “remains encouraging” with strong Easter demand “a healthy signal for the upcoming summer”.
“Based on trends to date and as we have said in March, we continue to anticipate capacity to be close to pre-pandemic levels. We expect a good Summer 2023,” he said.
