Vertical’s agent Pauline Ramsay has made an eye-watering £2 million in sales this year, the travel group announced on Tuesday (14 March).
Ramsay – who works for one of Vertical’s homeworking brands, Holiday Elite – has hit the £2 million target two months before the end of the group’s financial year.
Two other colleagues are also nearing the target, as their current sales are at £1.8 and £1.7 million respectively.
“Never did I think I would achieve more than some stores do, after being in retail for over 16 years prior to becoming a homeworker seven years ago,” she said.
Over the past year, Vertical’s homeworking sales are up 74%, with agent numbers growing by 40% due to an ongoing recruitment campaign.
Productivity has also surged by 50%, as the number of homeworkers reporting more than £1m in sales has gone up to 23 over the past 10 months.
“Homeworking was the best thing I ever did,” she added. “ It is also the way forward for a lot of travel agents who might be thinking of doing it.”
