The Personal Travel Consultants in partnership with Blue Bay launch a “PTCs Panel” to represent the interests of the brand’s 55 self-employed agents.
Six members will sit on the panel: three PTCs and three members of The Personal Travel Consultants’ Business Development Executive team. Four to six managers from the various Blue Bay Travel departments will also join each of the panel meetings. Two of the PTC panellists will be voted in, while the third PTC “seat” will be held by Kerry Jones, who, as well as being a PTC, is an official mentor.
PTCs who’d like to be on the panel can put themselves up for the vote; one is voted in by the PTCs and the other is voted for by the Business Development Executives. During the conference, it was announced that Jaclyn Keighley had been voted onto the panel by her PTC peers and the Business Development Executives’ votes had gone to Carly Cockburn. Under the new initiative, panelists will serve a term of 12 months.
The panel will meet once a quarter to discuss new ideas and to share best practices and feedback from the wider PTC community. Managers for the various Blue Bay Travel departments, for example Marketing, Product, Customer Service and Operations Support, will join the meetings to discuss any feedback from the PTCs that’s specific to their department and to provide information on upcoming developments.
Most of the meetings will be conducted via Teams but at least one meeting a year will take place in person with travel expenses, overnight accommodation and dinner for the PTC panellists all covered by the business.
Commenting on the launch, Abbie Heaton, Group Manager for The Personal Travel Consultants in Partnership with Blue Bay Travel says “We’re thrilled to have launched our first “PTCs Panel” and the conference provided the perfect platform to unveil it to our PTCs and congratulate those who had been voted onto the panel. The agent panellists will be the voice of their fellow PTCs, gathering valuable feedback via phone calls and emails, to share during the quarterly panel meetings.”
