Toyama Prefecture is to debut at WTM 2024, offering agents a chance to explore a lesser-known part of Japan, rich in culture, nature, and craftsmanship.
Toyama Prefecture, a hidden gem just two hours from Tokyo, will make its WTM debut in 2024. Despite a record 26.9 million international visitors to Japan up to September 2024, only around 1% explore Toyama, offering travel agents a fresh opportunity to promote a unique destination.
Known for its stunning nature, craftsmanship, and Michelin-starred cuisine, Toyama presents an alternative to Japan’s crowded hotspots. To boost brand awareness and bookings, Toyama will host consumer-focused events in London and Bristol, open to travel agents.
