Trip.com showcases global travel insights at ITB Berlin 2024

Trip.com Group made its second consecutive appearance at the prestigious international event in Berlin, running from 5-7 March, where it offered an insider’s view of its latest technological innovations and highlighted the transformative consumer trends redefining the future of travel.

 

The company underscored its dedication to revolutionising travel experiences through innovation, placing a special focus on AI, personalisation, and catering to the ever-changing needs of global travellers.

 

On the first day, 5th March, Andy Washington, General Manager for Trip.com Group in Europe, took part in the panel discussion titled "Beyond the Buzz - What are the Key Technology Trends Shaping Travel," where he shared Trip.com Group’s insights on differentiating enduring tech advancements from fleeting trends. He underscored the company’s proactive strategies in leveraging technology to meet and anticipate traveller needs, particularly highlighting Europe’s unique market dynamics.

 

The following day, 6th March, Schubert Lou, Chief Operating Officer of Trip.com, ascended as the keynote speaker on the eTravel stage. His topic, “How to Accommodate the Global Traveller,” focused on the emerging realm of experiential travel and the pivotal role of AI in tailoring journeys to individual preferences. Additionally, Boon Sian Chai, Managing Director and Vice President for International Markets at Trip.com Group, participated in a panel discussion on the Orange stage titled "Meeting the Needs of the Paradoxical Consumer." He delved into the challenges the travel industry, especially hotels, faces in catering to increasingly unpredictable consumer preferences.
